Nairobi National Park: Nairobi is the only city in the world that neighbours a National Park - a natural game protection area, harbouring wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse bird life with over 400 species recorded. The Nairobi National Park is 8 Km from Nairobi City centre. The 117 sq km area covered by Nairobi National Park consists primarily of unspoiled plains and woodland. A visit to this park gives a rough idea of what a Kenyan Safari is like and hopefully provides some interesting animal interaction.

The David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage: Open at 11:00 AM -12:00 PM only. This orphanage for Elephant Calves and Rhinos from all over Kenya was founded and still managed by Daphne Sheldrick, the widow of Kenya's renowned game warden David Sheldrick. David Sheldrick was at the centre of the 1970's Ivory poaching wars in Tsavo National Park. Today, the Sheldrick orphanage is the focal point for Elephant Conservation. Elephant calves orphaned by poaching are brought here from all over the country. They receive very specialized treatment and 24-hour personal care from highly dedicated staff who become surrogate mothers to the calves.

The Giraffe Centre: It is situated on 120 acres of land a few Kilometres outside Nairobi in Karen. In 1974 Jock Leslie-Melville and his wife Betty bought the land and moved five babies endangered Rothschild Giraffe onto the property where they successfully reared them. The original giraffes have subsequently had their own offsprings that now live on the property. It is now open to visitors and guests can feed and photograph the tame Giraffes and Warthogs that wander around the manor gardens.
